About Us
UAV and Drone Solutions (Pty) Ltd (UDS) made history in 2015 as the first drone company in South Africa to be awarded a Remote Operator Certificate (ROC) by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA).
From our inaugural missions, UDS delivered immediate success, driving rapid growth in both our fleet and workforce. Today, we are a trusted leader in security surveillance operations, proudly serving government entities, state-owned enterprises, mining operations, and industrial facilities across the country.
In March 2019, UDS joined the Bidvest Group, fuelling further expansion and solidifying our dominance in the security sector. With over 15,000 operational hours flown per month, we continue to set the standard for safe, reliable, and impactful drone solutions.
Recognising a gap in the market for high-quality drone pilot training, UDS launched its own SACAA accredited Aviation Training Organisation (ATO) in 2020. This initiative ensures our remote pilots are trained in-house to meet the highest industry standards, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and innovation
