Overview
Aviation Security Awareness for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) is a mandatory training program designed to ensure that all personnel involved in drone operations understand and adhere to aviation security protocols. This training is essential for maintaining operational safety, protecting sensitive data, and complying with South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations.
This training aligns with the requirements of Part 101.4 of the SACAA Civil Aviation Regulations, as detailed in Part 4 of the specific company Operations Manual. It is compulsory for anyone involved in the handling, operation, or oversight of drones to complete this course to meet both legal and safety obligations.
Please be advised that, in accordance with SACAA regulations, the final exam for this course must be completed using an approved proctoring tool. A download link for the Safe Exam Browser is available within the course. To complete the exam, you must use a laptop or desktop computer with a functioning webcam and microphone. Please note that some corporate or work‑issued computers may require administrative rights to install the Safe Exam Browser. If this applies to you, please make the necessary arrangements with your IT department in advance.
